ABOUT THE IMAGE: "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is a segment of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, a 1949 animated adaptation produced by Walt Disney, and narrated by Bing Crosby. It is an animated cartoon adaptation of the story, paired with a similar treatment of Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows. "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" premiered without "The Wind and the Willows" as part of an episode of Disneyland on October 26, 1955 featuring Walt hosting a short biography of Washington Irving. It was reissued as a stand-alone short on November 26, 1958.

ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Photostat Model Sheets are reference guides used by animators to ensure consistency in character design, proportions, and expressions throughout a film. These printed sheets typically feature multiple poses, facial expressions, and turnarounds of a character, often photocopied from finalized drawings by lead animators. Model sheets help maintain uniformity in animation by providing a standard reference for all artists working on a character, preventing visual discrepancies between different scenes.
