ABOUT THE IMAGE: This character study from Oliver & Company was drawn by Ted Berman (1911 - 2001), longtime story artist and writer and co-director of The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron. The film put a spin on the classic tale of Oliver Twist and was something new for Disney, a trial run for including extensive computer animation in their features and returning to a musical format for their animated films.
